The search for a man at Messerschmidt Pond in Westbrook has now turned into a missing person case as the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection says there's no evidence confirming he is in the water.
Andrew Corbett, 38, was last seen on the night of July 30 after his vehicle was found parked near Messerschmidt Pond and his canoe was found overturned in the water.

During the search, DEEP released Corbett's photo and asked the public for help finding him. Corbett was last seen around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30 at a CVS in Groton.
