Rain pummeled the town of Middlebury, bringing down trees and wires Wednesday evening.

"It was funny because we went up to Thomaston, it was fine there," Shari Morris said. "But once you came back into Middlebury, it was like, it was just hanging right over Middlebury."

"We came inside and just watched him come down in buckets. I mean, it was just really coming down," she said.

Tony Minchella rushed home as the thunderstorm passed and came across three roads that were either flooded or blocked because of downed trees.
