NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (PIX11) — It's not just the gloominess of an overcast day that's overcome much of the Garden State; Canadian wildfires are once again casting a haze over New Jersey.
"It's foggy, yeah. It's like a big difference," said Hermainio Martinez of East Franklin. "I noticed in the couple of days the air quality is not so good."
Air quality alerts have been triggered this week, but Martinez is still choosing to enjoy the view from the front porch his home.
"No, I'm not afraid," said Martinez.
Down his block, a noticeable haze could be seen across the New Brunswick skyline.
"Smoky," said local resident John Campbell. "It's all over, it's consumed our whole area."
