SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KTIV) - Three people are in custody after police say they were threatening a South Sioux City man at gunpoint.

South Sioux City Police responded to a disturbance in the area of W. 15th St and First Ave. A man said the three people had assaulted him, and one of them had a gun.

The responding officer then found the possible suspects walking across First Avenue and made contact while they waited for backup to arrive.

One of the officers placed one suspect in handcuffs, later identified as 18-year-old Lorenzo Maldonado. As the officer checked for weapons, he discovered a .40 caliber handgun concealed in his waistband.
