MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Liquor Store, a brunch spot and diner named after the previous occupant of its Broad Avenue storefront, is closing its original location on Broad.
The owners, SOB Hospitality, made it official on the restaurant's Facebook page on Wednesday. The last day of service will be Sunday.
They said the challenges of operating the space made it hard to keep going.
However, the restaurant's second location on Mendenhall at Poplar is still open and doing well, the owners said.
The Liquor Store opened on Broad Avenue in 2018. It was purchased by Ed and Susan Cabigao, who own SOB and several other Memphis restaurants, in 2023.
