WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. — Police are investigating a 19-year-old who they say pretended to be an officer after getting access to a marked Maryland State Police vehicle.

According to MSP, Jayden Ballard was served a criminal summons in February after he was charged with impersonating a police officer and unlawful taking of a motor vehicle.

Investigators say Ballard was driving a marked MSP patrol vehicle while wearing a Maryland State Police uniform throughout Wicomico County and conducting unlawful traffic stops in February.
