Doldrums, dog days, mid-summer -- whatever you want to call it, that’s where we are. Basically, expect more of the same through the weekend. One subtle change will be a weak upper-level disturbance that arrives late Sunday and lingers into next week.

That upper disturbance should be just enough to stir up a few afternoon showers Sunday through Wednesday.

Highs will be right around the century mark next several days.

Tropical activity typically increases this time of year, and this year is no exception. Next week could be busy with new development, so we’ll need to watch what unfolds. S
