AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - Akron police are continuing to investigate after five people were shot in a school parking lot.
Investigators have twice released photos seeking to identify persons of interest in the case.
The shooting happened around 3 a.m. on July 7 on the school grounds of the Mason Community Learning Center on East Exchange Street.
Akron Police Lieutenant Michael Murphy Jr. said there was a large crowd of about 100 to 150 people who were having a party despite not being allowed to be there.
The school is currently not in session due to the summer break.
Surveillance footage caught the large crowd running and taking cover as the shots were fired, according to Murphy.
The five shooting victims were transported to local hospitals.
