GLASGOW, Ky. (WBKO) — Glasgow City Hall is closed Wednesday due to a power outage caused by a hit-and-run crash involving a utility pole.

According to Glasgow Police, a semi-truck struck a utility pole near the intersection of South Broadway Street and East Main Street, then left the scene.

The broken pole knocked out power to nearby buildings, including City Hall and the Glasgow-Barren County Tourism building.

Glasgow Electric Plant Board crews are working to make repairs, which are expected to take several hours due to the extensive damage.

The intersection remains closed until further notice.
