DES MOINES, Iowa (KCRG) - Two Eastern Iowa women will serve as the Iowa Dairy Princess and Iowa Dairy Princess Alternate for the next year.
According to a release from Midwest Dairy, two women representing Winneshiek County and Delaware County were crowned as winners in the contest Wednesday night.
18-year-old Kelsey Timp from Ossian earned the title of Iowa Dairy Princess, and 19-year-old Alia Domeyer of Delhi earned the title of Iowa Dairy Princess Alternate.
Timp and Domeyer will carry out a year-long reign, serving as goodwill ambassadors for Iowa’s dairy farmers.
The two women will begin their duties on September 1.
