CUMBERLAND – The Planning Board has reviewed conceptual plans for two developments, one at 147 Pound Road and one at 475 Mendon Road.

The Pound Road project, under the name Oak Tree Circle and with applicant High Tech Construction, seeks a conservation development, which as Principal Planner Abby McVerry explained to the board on July 31, conserves open space by clustering homes in the middle.

The applicant proposes to subdivide the property into three lots, one with an existing single-family house, one with five three-bedroom, detached condos, and the third lot to be dedicated as open space. Each dwelling on the 14-acre site would be serviced by wells and septic systems.

The surrounding neighborhood is a mix of homes and undeveloped lots, including a 72-acre lot owned by the Cumberland
