MUSKEGON, MI – A 49-year-old motorcyclist was killed Wednesday, Aug. 6, in a collision with another vehicle, police said.

His name has not been released.

The other driver, a 22-year-old woman, was arrested at the scene on unspecified charges. Muskegon police said that alcohol is believed to be a factor.

The woman was not injured.

The crash happened around 9 p.m. on East Apple Avenue at Spring Street. The motorcyclist was found unresponsive. Despite life-saving efforts by rescuers, the man died at the scene.

Police said that the motorcyclist was riding west on Apple when the driver of the car turned from Spring Street onto Apple Avenue where they collided.
