FORT MADISON (WGEM) - Oftentimes, veterans can get overlooked for the sacrifices they’ve made.

This led to the creation of Iowa 2x4’s for Hope. The group builds tiny homes for a veteran in need and they recently began construction on their third home in Fort Madison.

The home is located at 21 Storms Court in Fort Madison and the land was donated by a local family, according to organizers.

As of Wednesday, they are working on getting the home insulated before drywalling over the personally designed wooden planks that help keep the house upright.
