CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - After a critical 8-1 vote from Mecklenburg County commissioners on Wednesday night, voters will get to decide whether to spend an extra cent for every dollar to overhaul the county’s transportation system.

The specifics of how to spend a large portion of those funds, however, would be decided by a tightly controlled 27-person group.
