ST. LOUIS - The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has extended the deadline for homeowners and renters impacted by the May 16 tornado in St. Louis City and St. Louis County to apply for individual assistance.

The application deadline is now Tuesday, August 26, extended from the original date of Monday, August 11.

If your home or personal property was damaged and not covered by insurance, FEMA may be able to provide assistance for home repairs, temporary housing, or essential personal property that was destroyed.

The fastest way to apply for Individual Assistance is at DisasterAssistance.gov. You can also apply by calling FEMA at 1-800-621-3362 or visiting a Disaster Recovery Center.
