MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- The Indiana State Police Bremen Post reports troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of US 6 and S.R. 331 around 9:50 a.m. Thursday.

ISP's initial investigation determined a red Peterbilt semi-truck with trailer was traveling east on US 6 before stopping to wait for westbound traffic to clear to turn left onto the S.R. 331ramp.

At the same time, a silver 2006 GMC pickup truck, driven by a 19-year-old Plymouth man, was also traveling east on US 6.

The truck then crashed into the right rear of the semi's trailer, skidding approximately 190 feet before stopping.

The teen driver was taken to Bremen Hospital before being flown to Memorial Hospital in South Bend with serious injuries.
