NEXT 12: Isolated storms fade tonight, muggy and warm

SHORT TERM: Heat cranks up with most in the 90s this weekend

LONG TERM: Daily pop-up storm chances continue, but higher storm chances will wait until late next week

Here’s WAVE News meteorologist Tawana Andrew with your forecast.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Any pop-up storms on the radar this evening will fade away overnight, leaving us with mostly clear skies and muggy lows in the 60s and 70s by Friday morning.

You’ll really notice the heat on Friday, but thankfully the humidity will be low enough to avoid heat index issues. Highs will be in the upper 80s to lower 90s in the afternoon with a small, pop-up storm chance.

Mainly dry weather will be around Friday night with a few clouds and lows in the muggy 70s by Saturday morning.
