APPLING, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The cargo of a trailer caught fire Thursday afternoon along Interstate 20 near the Appling Harlem Road exit.

It was still burning just after 3 p.m., but was mostly out by 3:25.

A serious eastbound traffic backup was developing.
