LAUREL, Md. — Homicide detectives are asking for the public's help to find a person wanted for shooting a 33-year-old man to death in Laurel last month.
On July 25, just before 10:30 p.m., officers with the Prince George's County Police Department responded to the 13200 block of Laurel Bowie Road for a report of a shooting. Officers arrived to found a man, later identified as William Denard Askew of Greenbelt shot several times. He died at the scene.
Detectives said the suspect arrived to and fled the scene on a bicycle. On Thursday, detectives released surveillance video of the wanted suspect.
Investigators are still working to learn what led up to the shooting. As the investigation continues, police ask anyone who may have information on the suspect or the bicycle to call the Prince G
