MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) - An alcohol enforcement operation at the North Dakota State Fair uncovered multiple violations and led to an arrest .
The Ward County Sheriff’s Office conducted a compliance check across the entire fairgrounds on July 24 to make sure alcohol booths were properly checking IDs and not selling to those under 21.
Sheriff Bob Roed said this is their first year doing one at the fair, but they have issued citations for violations in the past.
“There were a lot of false IDs detected this year and confiscated,” said Roed.
A report from the sheriff’s office states both booths in the grandstand and two other spots failed ID checks.
