SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Benita Triplett, LISW from Catholic Charities in Sioux City, says more people than ever have experienced losing someone to suicide.

The organization Catholic Charities is working to provide support to members of the community through a free support group. The sessions are open for adults, ages 18 and up, who have lost a loved one to suicide at least 30 days before.

“Through these groups,” said Triplett. “We aim to offer comfort, hope and a path toward healing.”

These support groups will meet starting on Thursday, Sept. 2, and end on Tuesday, Oct. 7. There will be both an English and a Spanish support group.

Residents of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome to attend, according to the organization.
