YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) - A portion of Midlothian Boulevard in Youngstown is closed due to a sinkhole.

According to the city's Department of Public Works, the eastbound lanes are closed between Shirley Road and Lemoyne Drive -- in front of Steel City Bar and Grill -- due to the collapse of a 30-inch sanitary sewer and manhole.

Repairs will begin Friday. Once excavation begins, a determination can be made as to the timeline of the repair, according to a news release from the department.

The posted detour will be Interstate 680 South to U.S. Route 224 to I-680 North to Midlothian Boulevard.
