Learning to drive can be overwhelming for young adults, but one local nonprofit is lending a helping hand.
On Thursday, the Future Focused Academy held its "Ready, Set, Drive" community workshop at the new ERIEBANK community room on Parade Street.
The event invited Erie residents ages 16 to 23 to learn how to get their driver's license, buy their first car and understand auto insurance.
Danielle Randall, the organization's executive director, said that the program is a way to ease some stress and prepare young adults to be successful in the future.
"It's all about bringing back that village mentality of 'let's bring the community together and let's provide these young people with the skills and the information that they need, so they have the best possible chance of being successful,'"
