COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A teacher at Saluda High School is now in custody after allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a student were reported to the School Resource Officers.

Melissa Groleau was taken into custody at the high school by deputies following a referral by the school’s SROs to the Saluda County Sheriff’s Office. She was then transferred to the Saluda County Detention Center.

The investigation into Groleau began Thursday morning following an alleged complaint to SROs. Evidence was then obtained to corroborate the allegations against Groleau, according to the Saluda County Sheriff’s Office.
