HARDEEVILLE, S.C. (WSAV) — Two people have been arrested in connection to an investigation into the sale of pills containing Fentanyl in Hardeeville, a police spokesperson announced Thursday.
Marquis Alexander Webber was reportedly identified as a primary suspect in the distribution of Fentanyl, which officials believe to have resulted in at least one fatal overdose.
During an investigation into the sale, undercover purchases of suspected Fentanyl were made, a Hardeeville Police Department (HPD) spokesperson said. This allowed officials to obtain a search warrant for Webber’s residence in Hardeeville.
