SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (Edited News Release/KY3) - Maintaining a beautiful lawn during the summer doesn’t have to come at a high cost.
City Utilities is reminding customers that its Even-Odd Watering Program is an easy way to keep lawns healthy while saving money. By following this voluntary schedule, CU can collectively help save up to 5 million gallons of water per day during the summer months.
Designed to reduce daily water usage during the peak irrigation season, the Even-Odd Watering Program is simple to follow:
If the last number of your address is even, water only on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
If the last number of your address is odd, water only on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
No watering on Mondays to allow system recovery and help maximize water supply.
