LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel says she’s taking action against robocallers.

On Thursday, AG Nessel launched Operation Robocall Roundup. It’s a multistate effort by the Anti-Robocall Litigation Task Force that aims to go after robocallers and scammers.

Nessel, alongside 50 other attorneys general, sent warning letters to 37 voice provider companies demanding they stop ‘illegal’ robocalls from being routed through their network.

“Operation Robocall Roundup will help ensure voice service providers do their part to stop illegal robocalls,” Nessel said. “I look forward to continuing to work with the Anti-Robocall Litigation Task Force to protect people from these persistent and intrusive calls.”

Nessel says the providers aren’t complying with the FCC’s rules
