SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Authorities gave new details about the ongoing search for a missing man after a vehicle was pulled from the Missouri River Wednesday evening.

Sioux City Police told KCAU 9 that colleagues of the unidentified New Jersey man, 47, called authorities after 5 p.m., after the man failed to pick up a colleague before traveling to Omaha for a flight.

The man left the Warrior Hotel at approximately 5:15 a.m. on Wednesday, August 6, in a blue Nissan Sentra to pick up a work colleague at the Hilton Garden Inn at 5:30 a.m.

Sioux City Police are continuing their investigation into the case.
