Peoria Public Schools nears completion of $8 million indoor training dome

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- Peoria's massive, multi-million dollar, white gleaming dome that sits near Peoria Stadium is nearing completion.

Peoria Public Schools is putting the final touches on the new Peoria Stadium Dome, a state-of-the-art indoor athletic facility designed for both students and the community.

The $8 million dome spans over 140,000 square feet and will provide year-round, climate-controlled training space for football, soccer, baseball, softball and golf.

Inside, the facility will feature newly installed turf, scoreboards, a sound system, and two TrackMan golf simulators.
