Willow Springs, Mo. (KY3) - The Willow Springs School District sent a letter to parents on August 5 informing them of budget cuts that will affect the upcoming school year.
Superintendent Marty Spence stated in the letter that he had made faulty financial predictions regarding enrollment, and the school can’t afford its expenditures without budget and staff cuts.
“We forecasted revenues to be higher than what they were, and unfortunately, expenditures began to rise, and we are at a position where we have to make some tough decisions and make some cuts in order to even out the budget,” Spence said.
