MANSFIELD, La. (KSLA) - The City of Mansfield has achieved a major milestone related to public safety and emergency response.
On Thursday, Aug. 6, Mayor Thomas Jones announced that the Property Insurance Association of Louisiana has upgraded the city’s Public Protection Classification from Class 4 to Class 3. The mayor says this upgrade is a result of years of dedicated service, planning, investment in fire protection infrastructure, and the addition of a new automatic aid fire station.
The mayor says the city was once rated Class 6. This upgrade marks a “significant” leap forward and shows the city it making progress when it comes to protecting lives and property from fire.
