SUMTER, S.C. — Police have identified a suspect in a Thursday afternoon shooting in Sumter that left two people wounded.
Sumter Police said officers were called to the Valero convenience store on Broad Street around 4:45 p.m., where they found a bystander shot. Investigators then learned that another person had been taken to Prisma Health Tuomey after being shot as well.
Their exact conditions weren't available, but police said they are expected to recover. Police believe the shooting happened after an argument and are now looking for 38-year-old Davon Antonio Ladson of Highland Avenue, who they believe was the shooter.
