SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - The developers of the University Heights project in Springfield have presented a new proposal.
Ralph Duda, the developer with Be Kind and Merciful, said he filed a new proposal with the planning and zoning commission. His new plans include about eight or ten uses, down from the original 25 to 30 uses. He describes them as low-intensive structures.
City leaders say it is the second-busiest intersection in the city. Duda said his new plan addresses traffic concerns.
The University Heights Neighborhood Association has fought the development for several years. The organization shared a statement regarding the new proposal.
