PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Sneaker Week 2025 wraps up Friday, capping a week-long celebration of the culture, creativity, and careers driving the global footwear industry.
Organizers highlight Portland's role as home to Nike, Adidas, and a vibrant design community.
Launched in 2017 by the Pensole Footwear Design Academy, Sneaker Week showcases local artists and industry leaders through exhibits, workshops, panels, and networking events.
“(It) proves you can do more with what already exists, and to see the creativity flow from these artists is amazing,” said Mimi Munoz of Wieden+Kennedy.
The ad agency helped select 14 local artists for their unique styles and diverse backgrounds.
