TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - The transportation company involved in an accident during the Winterhaven Festival of Lights last year won’t return, and the city of Tucson has committed to making some changes to make the event safer.
Winterhaven Rides made the announcement online, and the Winterhaven Festival of Lights Committee said that it was told the company had dissolved.
But the committee said Thursday night that it doesn’t mean the end of the wagons, trolley, or other group-ride offerings.
The committee said it is working on coordinating with a new company, as well as returning transportation partners, to keep ride options alive for visitors.
