HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- With California entering a new fiscal year, what's going on in Hollywood?
State legislators gathered Thursday for the State of the State of Hollywood forum , an annual event that analyzes where things stand.
One major highlight: jobs in show business.
The California lawmakers who were a part of the event are especially proud of last month's expansion of the state's film and television tax credit program.
The goal is to keep the work that Hollywood is known for making in Hollywood.
"The state government is really determined to ensure that we're doing what we need to do to bring Hollywood production back," said Senator Ben Allen.
Last month, Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a $750 million film and TV tax credit , up from $330 million.
