INDIAN RIVER – So many area coaches did a wonderful job during the 2024-25 high school sports year , which made this a tough choice.

But for a second consecutive year, Inland Lakes football coach Travis Meyer proved to be the best of the best, guiding the Bulldogs to another outstanding campaign last fall.

As a result, Meyer has been named the Daily Tribune’s coach of the year for a second consecutive year.

Why I chose Meyer: In what’s been a golden age for Inland Lakes football at the 8-player level, Meyer led his program to one of the best seasons in school history, including an 11-1 overall record and a fourth consecutive Ski Valley Conference championship. Meyer’s Bulldogs were a juggernaut throughout the regular season, claiming a 9-0 record.
