(KFVS) - The hot, humid and mainly dry pattern looks to stick around through the weekend.
Afternoon highs today and through Sunday will be about 90 to 95 degrees.
Dew points will be near 70, which will make it seasonably humid, with peak heat index numbers near or slightly above 100 degrees.
Rain and storm chances will remain very low, about 10 percent, through the weekend, but will begin to increase next week.
Next week, the Heartland will get into a more unsettled pattern.
There will be more clouds and a better chance of occasional showers and storms, especially from about Tuesday through Thursday.
Temperatures will be moderated a bit, but it will remain humid.
