(PINPOINT WEATHER) -- Good morning and happy FriYay! As we close out the week, we continue to deal with low cloud cover and mist across the Central Carolinas as the cool wedge continues to exert its will on the region, but changes are on the way this Friday afternoon. After drier weather in the afternoon, temperatures will slowly rebound through the weekend and into next week. Along with the warmer temperatures next week, showers and storms are also expected to return. In the tropics, a wave coming off the African coast is likely to develop over the next week or so, but is currently expected to stay out to sea.

As for your Friday, misty weather this morning should give way to drier and perhaps some sun once we get into the afternoon. Northeasterly winds will continue to make it difficult
