SALISBURY, N.C. — A man has been arrested and accused of robbing a Salisbury business using a machete.
On Aug. 8 around 3:45 a.m., Salisbury Police responded to 1015 East Innes Street after reports of a robbery. While the police department did not confirm where the robbery took place, there is a Circle K gas station located at that address.
When police arrived, they learned a man armed with a machete had entered the business and demanded money. After he was given the money, he got in a car and left. Police used surveillance footage to identify the vehicle and then identified the suspect as 31-year-old Rudolph Alfredo Smith Jr.
Salisbury Police and deputies from the Rowan County Sheriff's Office worked together to find the vehicle on Bringle Ferry Road and take Smith into custody. He was
