LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness confirmed its first human case of West Nile virus this year, according to a release.
The department said it will not share any information about the individual for privacy reasons. There have been no deaths related to West Nile virus in 2025 to date, LMPHW added.
It's the 13th confirmed case of West Nile virus in Louisville over the past five years. There have been three deaths: one in 2022 and two in 2023.
