TRUMBULL COUNTY, Ohio (WKBN) -- Trumbull County has now been added to the list of local sites where mosquito samples with West Nile virus have been found, according to a Trumbull County Public Health press release.
The mosquito pool was collected at Hillside Cemetery in West Farmington on July 30, according to the release.
Also in the release, it is noted that there have been zero human cases of West Nile virus reported in Trumbull County thus far.
The Health District gave the following tips for preventing mosquito bites: • Insect repellants with DEET can be applied as directed to exposed skin and clothing. • Stay indoors at dawn, dusk, and early evening when mosquitoes are most active.
