SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) - Some Spartanburg County online services are temporarily unavailable as they recover from their second cybersecurity incident in less than three years.

According to a county spokesperson, the cybersecurity incident happened earlier in the week which "immediately triggered a response from our network software, cybersecurity vendor, and law enforcement."

The county said that it was discovered quickly and contained by software and personnel.

Certain connections and electronic services were proactively disabled as part of that containment process.

While all government offices remain open to the public, some online services may be unavailable while staff and security personnel work to restore all systems.
