A Moberly man was seriously injured Friday morning after crashing his car into a tree in Boone County near Harrisburg.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the 30-year-old man was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck on Missouri 124 just east of Bruce Lane around 8:05 a.m.

The pickup truck traveled off the right side of the road, overcorrected, traveled off the left side of the road, and then struck a tree, according to the report.

The man was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, and he was transported to University Hospital in Columbia for his injuries, according to the report.

The pickup truck was totaled in the incident.
