It was a warm and mostly sunny day across Eastern Kentucky, with just a few fair-weather clouds passing through and light southeasterly breezes keeping conditions comfortable.

Tonight will stay quiet and pleasant under partly cloudy skies, with light winds and mild overnight lows.

This calm weather is courtesy of a high-pressure system to our east, which has been holding storm activity at bay for most areas today.

However, subtle changes are already underway that will start to introduce a few storm chances in the coming days.

As we move into the weekend and next week, the overall pattern will turn more unsettled.
