BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) - A new convenience store opened Friday, offering drinks, snacks, lottery tickets and more.
Aveon Express, located at 649 E. Midlothian Boulevard in Boardman, is locally owned. It will be open every day from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The owner, Amandeep Singh, is from Poland and has a background working in convenience stores that his parents owned. This is his first store and he has big plans for it.
"We have thought about this for a while and we came to the suggestion, 'Hey, let's open a kitchen.' And we heard rumors that the community would like a kitchen around us, so we were like, 'Yeah, let's do this,'" Singh said.
In about a month, Aveon Express will debut its own kitchen with burgers, fried chicken and more.
