PEORIA HEIGHTS, Ill. (WMBD) -- A familiar name in the local food scene is returning to Peoria Heights.

Frank Abdnour, former owner of The Spotted Cow, is teaming up with his son Noah to open "Frank’s: Home of Frank’s Famous Italian Beef" later this month. The new restaurant will be located at 4408 North Prospect Rd., the former home of The Other Dawg, behind Busted Brewing.

The shop will be carry-out only, serving a focused menu of five items, including Italian beef sandwiches, hot dogs, Italian subs, and a salad. Abdnour said the decision to keep the menu small was intentional, focusing on quality.
