BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL) — A new therapy dog has enrolled at Tennessee Middle School.

"Honey," a six-month-old goldendoodle, is the newest addition to Bristol, Tennessee City Schools' therapy dog program.

The program provides a therapy dog to schools to help reduce anxiety and stress among students and staff.

"All the schools that have had a program like this [have] been very positive so far," Principal Luke Douthat said. "It's been really impactful at [Tennessee High School]. What we've seen so far in just a few days is a lot of energy and excitement. Our students are responding very well.
