NEWPORT, Arkansas — Arkansas State Police (ASP) announced that five people have pleaded guilty in connection to a deadly 2023 shooting that happened at a concert in Newport.

ASP and the Newport Police Department shared that they have concluded their investigation into a deadly shooting that happened on Feb. 5, 2023 at the former Branch High School building along Clay Street in Newport.

According to police, the shooting occurred around 2:30 in the morning at a concert that was happening at the former Branch High School building.

During the incident, 19-year-old Tamrionna Jarrett was fatally shot. Several other people were shot and injured during the incident.
