Advocates and community members came together Friday to provide resources and advice to foster children aging out of the system during Jasper County CASA’s Dot Willcoxon Dream Big Career Day at Missouri Southern State University.

“Kids in foster care feel like they’re completely alone and they can’t talk to anyone about it, and they don’t have hopes and dreams because they’re just in survival mode,” said Abby Brower, advocate supervisor with Jasper County CASA. “I’m really hoping that the speakers and the resource fair will give them that ‘dream big.’” ×
